North Coventry Elementary Handbell Ensemble

The North Coventry Elementary Handbell Ensemble is an audition-based group for interested sixth grade students who enjoy music and performing. Students who are interested in participating will have the opportunity to sign up for auditions at the beginning of the school year. Auditions will be held during the first two weeks of September.

Members of the Handbell Ensemble learn and perform two-octave handbell literature while developing teamwork, musical skills, and performance techniques. Students learn proper handbell playing techniques, music-reading skills, and some of the fun “special effects” that make handbell performances unique and exciting.

The Handbell Ensemble will rehearse after school on the following dates:

• September 28
• October 5
• October 19
• October 26
• November 2
• November 16
• November 30
• December 2

Registration for Handbells will open through SchoolPay.com approximately one month before the first rehearsal date.

The North Coventry Elementary Handbell Ensemble is directed by Ms. Vogel, tvogel@ojrsd.net. We look forward to another year of making music and creating memorable performances together!
