Reading Olympics

North Coventry Elementary School Reading Olympics is a fun, team-based reading program that encourages students to read a variety of high-quality books and build a love for reading. Students work together in teams to read from a selected book list throughout the school year.

At the end of the program, teams participate in an academic competition where they answer questions about the books they’ve read. The focus is on teamwork, comprehension, and critical thinking—not speed or pressure.

Reading Olympics helps students strengthen reading skills, discover new authors and genres, and gain confidence while celebrating the joy of reading in an engaging and supportive way.
