Title I Distinguished School Recognition

North Coventry Elementary School has been recognized as a Title I Distinguished School by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Title I, Part A is a federally funded program under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The program provides supplemental funding to schools to support high-quality instruction and ensure that all students have the opportunity to meet Pennsylvania’s academic standards, particularly in reading, language arts, and mathematics.

Each year, the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Division of Federal Programs identifies and honors high-achieving Title I schools across the state. Distinguished Schools are recognized based on multiple measures of student success and school performance, which may include:

  • Student achievement in English Language Arts and Mathematics (PSSA results)

  • Student growth measures using the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS)

  • Progress toward state accountability indicators

  • Student engagement indicators such as attendance

North Coventry Elementary School was selected for demonstrating strong academic achievement and growth, reflecting the collective efforts of our students, staff, and families.

Out of hundreds of Title I schools across Pennsylvania, only a select group earn this distinction each year. This recognition highlights our school’s ongoing commitment to student success, continuous improvement, and educational excellence.

We are proud of this achievement and thank our families and community for their continued support of North Coventry Elementary School.
