Registration Requirements

Student Registration Information

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens on January 5, 2026.

Age Requirements  

  • Kindergarten (2026–2027): Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026

  • First Grade (2026–2027): Child must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2026

For the 2025–2026 school year:

  • Kindergarten: Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025

  • First Grade: Child must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2025

Families may register students for the 2025–2026 or 2026–2027 school year using the steps below.

Online Registration Process

Owen J. Roberts School District uses Skyward Online Registration. Most required paperwork is completed electronically.

Before You Begin

Steps to Complete Registration

  1. Start Online Registration
    Click here to begin the online student registration process. You will be directed to the Skyward portal.

  2. Create a Skyward Account

    • You must create a Skyward account to complete registration.

    • This is a one-time process.

    • If registering multiple children, you will have the option to add additional students after completing the first set of forms.

    • A confirmation email will be sent after submission.

  3. Next Steps by School Level

    • Elementary School: After submitting forms, you will be directed to the school’s Quick Links page.

    • Middle School: You will be contacted to schedule a registration appointment.

    • High School: After proof of residency is verified, the Guidance Office will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Documents Required for Registration Appointments

Required Documents

  • Original birth certificate, hospital certificate, or baptism certificate

  • Up-to-date immunization record

  • Parent/Guardian photo ID

  • Custody or legal documents, if applicable (court orders, foster care documentation, etc.)

Health Forms

  • Physical and dental forms are due by October 1

  • Exams must be dated on or after September 1 of the prior school year

Proof of Residency Requirements

Please provide ONE document from each column below.

Column A

  • Current residential lease

  • Signed settlement agreement

  • Deed

  • Current year property tax bill

  • Current year school tax bill

  • Recent (30–60 days) mortgage statement

  • Military housing letter

Column B

  • Recent (30–60 days) utility bill:

    • Electric (PECO, Met-Ed)

    • Cable (Comcast, Verizon)

    • Landline phone

    • Garbage (AJ Blosenski, Diamond)

    • Sewer/Water (Township bill)

    • Propane/Oil (AmeriGas)

  • Vehicle registration showing district address with PA license or ID

Column C

  • Valid PA driver’s license

  • Valid PA photo ID

  • Passport

Additional Documents (If Applicable)

  • Current grades or unofficial transcripts

  • Most recent IEP, Chapter 15 / Section 504, Chapter 16 (Gifted), or other special education documentation
