Engagement Regulation

North Coventry Elementary School Family Engagement Regulation

Title I Program 2024–2025

At North Coventry Elementary, the philosophy of our Title I program is to encourage active participation from parents and families in their child’s education. This regulation is developed and reviewed annually in collaboration with families of Title I students. It reflects our commitment to building strong partnerships between students, families, and school staff to support student success.

Strategies to Promote Family Engagement

To achieve our family engagement goals, North Coventry Elementary implements the following strategies:

  • Share information: Distribute the Family Engagement Regulation during the Title I Parent Meeting and on the Title I website.

  • Gather feedback: Conduct surveys to gather input from families about engagement strategies and program effectiveness.

  • Provide resources: Share district and state materials to help families support their child’s learning at home.

  • Keep families informed: Send newsletters and updates about Title I activities and family engagement opportunities.

  • Encourage participation: Invite families to visit, volunteer, and participate in school events and parent-teacher conferences.

  • Include family input: Consider family suggestions in decisions aimed at meeting the needs of Title I students.

  • Educate staff: Train all school staff on the importance of family engagement.

  • Communicate expectations: Inform families about the Home–School Compact developed jointly with them.

  • Support learning at home: Help families understand state academic standards, local assessments, and provide guidance on using resources such as EDM to reinforce learning.

  • Monitor progress: Share student progress monitoring reports to enhance communication and understanding.

  • Language accessibility: Make materials available in other languages upon request to ensure all families have access to important information.

This regulation is reviewed and updated annually at the fall Title I Family Meeting.
